NOTE: Exchange 2011 was cancelled because of the devastating tornado in Joplin, MO on May 22. For years, WVE worked very closely with Christ in Youth to offer presentations at their summer conferences and winter retreats. Christ in Youth and other beloved ministries are based in Joplin. Some Exchange leaders and some participating youth pastors and youth were able to travel to Joplin to help with the recovery efforts. Watch for updated information about WVE events on the campus of Lincoln Christian University in the coming school year.

The "Exchange" is a unique event for Christian high school youth and youth leaders to share several days at Lincoln Christian University, deeping their faith, discussing tough questions, and developing skills for leadership and youth ministry. It especially encourages productive and informal interactions among those who attend, giving high school youth and their youth leaders valuable contact with one another and with highly respected and successful Christian leaders.

Some Key Goals for EXCHANGE

1. To help Christian high school youth develop the knowledge and skills to become better leaders in their church, community, and school.
2. To encourage adult youth workers to exchange ideas and to interact personally with one another and with knowledgeable and successful leaders in ministry.
3. To provide “pre-university” or "pre-college" preparation for youth who desire to be effective Christian leaders as students in college.
4. To challenge youth and youth leaders to think, feel, and act in ways that are directed by a Christian worldview.
5. To expose Christian youth to a Christian university atmosphere that encourages questions and discussions that are important to their Christian faith.
