The 2010 WVE youth event will be redesigned and shortend in length. The former week-long event will now run about 2 1/2 days and will focus on sessions and informal discussions to develop better Christian leaders among youth ministers and high school youth.

Since its beginning in 2000, the WVE summer youth events have had youth from 22 different states and Canada who have gone on to attend at least 25 different colleges, including 8 different Christian colleges.

Some Key Goals for EXCHANGE

1. To help high school youth develop the knowledge and skills to become better Christian leaders.
2. To offer adult youth workers opportunities to exchange ideas and to interact personally with knowledgeable and successful leaders in ministry.
3. To provide a “pre-university” preparation for youth who desire to be effective Christian leaders as students at a university or a non-religious college.
4. To deepen the awareness of, and commitment to, biblical worldview thinking and being.
5. To expose Christian youth to a unique Christian university atmosphere that encourages asking and discussing tough and relevant questions about the Christian faith.

EXCHANGE Co-Directors

The 2010 EXCHANGE will be co-directed by Rob Maupin and Rondel Ramsey. Rob is a professor of Intercultural Studies at Lincoln Christian University. He had nine years of successful youth ministry in Missouri, Illinois, and Texas, and he served for five years as a missionary with a youth focus in Mexico City. He has degrees from Ozark Christian College and Wheaton College.

Rondel is professor of youth ministry at Lincoln Christian University. Prior to coming to Lincoln, Rondel served for 15 years in youth ministry. He has a B.A. and M.A. from Johnson Bible College.
